Wontan-nâra is a popular expression in soussou language (Guinea). I like this word and even class it as a pregnant word which can deliver some kind of children like: emotion, courage, feeling, support, tenderness, union, assistance, fraternity, festival…. etc
Wontan-nâra means “we are together”.
Always together for several reasons: union makes force; one finger can only index an object but cannot take it without the assistance of the other fingers; this life is just a transit. And I continue….
So despite our routine occupations, it is necessary to grant a minimum of time- a small break to think of all those people who, by far or near, had impact in our life. Our world is made of men and women of different categories - those who are nice; they are simply nice because they wanted to be so.
Wish is capability: when we want, we can.
For me, the nice people are like invaluable stones: We do not create them but one needs them in special occasions.
Thus, for the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan which begins today, I request Omnipotent Allah to grant to us a luxurious apartment in paradise.
Also, by saying Ramadan Kareem, I request Allah to accord you the reward of fasting for one full year. (Amen).
Again…. Wontan-nâra (we are together)….
Wishing you all the best,
May the Almighty Allah bless you.
